"The Sleeping Beauty" Ballet featuring scenic designs by Preston Singletary

Get ready to see The Sleeping Beauty, the brand-new Pacific Northwest Ballet production that promises to enchant with scenic design by artist Preston Singletary and costumes by Paul Tazewell (Hamilton, PNB’s Swan Lake). The Sleeping Beauty World Premiere is January 31st – February 9th, 2025.

“PNB’s new production of The Sleeping Beauty offers an exciting opportunity to present a timeless tale in a new light,” said PNB’s Artistic Director Peter Boal. “Our Beauty begins with a reexamining of original source materials. Notions of good versus evil, destiny and empowerment, and innovative interpretations of character and craft define this production. Northwest glass artist Preston Singletary creates an ancestral realm anchored in North America."

Preston Singletary notes that "When I think about this story it ties in with mysticism, magic and overcoming supernatural forces. It reminds me of Tlingit storytelling where symbolism and stagecraft come together to teach values to society".

Don’t miss The Sleeping Beauty World Premiere January 31st - February 9th, as part of the company’s 2024-2025 season. Tickets are available now at the Pacific Northwest Ballet.
