The New Britain Museum of American Art

Visit the New Britain Museum of American Art in New Britain, CT for "The Land Carries Our Ancestors: Contemporary Art by Native Americans​" group museum exhibition. Curated by artist Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, this exhibition brings together works by a group of some 50 living Native American artists​, including Preston Singletary. Their powerful expressions reflect the diversity of Native American individual, regional, and cultural identities. At the same time, these works share a worldview informed by thousands of years of reverence, study, and concern for the land. On view April 19th, 2024 - September 12th, 2024.
